Known for weaving dreamy vintage sounds into thoughtful, carefully crafted songs, Oddeline is a musical project based in Ottawa, Ontario. Heavily influenced by 1960s jazz-folk like Nick Drake and Fairport Convention, with a DIY attitude rooted in a love of post punk and early indie bands, Oddeline started out playing live shows in Ottawa at 18 years old, and released her self-produced debut EP Fated to Drown three years later. Since then, she's been busy carving a unique path as an artist: from recording and performing original music, to co-organizing community initiatives like Tunnelfest (a renegade folk festival held in pedestrian tunnels), to producing for other artists (such as Mars Aspen’s 2023 folk-pop single overgrown).

Excited to be reunited with my musical pals from Halifax, Long Call and Ian Van der Wee! Come out for an intimate show in Centretown and check out their very cool and unique take on alt-folk. Their set when we played a Sunday Night Revue house show was one of my favourite live music experiences of 2023 - and they're super sweet people too :)

Rory Taillon's Album Release with Oddeline

Red Bird, 1165 Bank St, Ottawa

I had the pleasure of meeting Rory Taillon at Folk Music Ontario's 2023 conference, and ended up seeing him play twice that weekend because his first set was so good. On top of having an incredible voice, he brings a warmth and humour to his stage banter that makes for a great show. I'm thrilled that he invited me to open for him at his album release show this summer, and excited to return to the Red Bird stage!
